8 Days Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro - Most Scenic Trail

The Lemosho Route is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. As one of newer routes, Lemosho is superb choice due to ideal balance of low crowds, beautiful scenery, and high summit success rate. Route approaches from west, beginning with long drive to Londorossi Gate. First two days trek through rainforest to Shira Ridge. Cross entire Shira Plateau west to east in pleasant, relatively flat hike. Crowds low until joining Machame route near Lava Tower. Traverse underneath Southern Ice Field on Southern Circuit before summiting from Barafu. Descent via Mweka route.
